Sam “Yona” Beaver, son of Arleecher and Narcy (Scraper) Beaver, was born May 15, 1936 and departed this life to be with our Lord surrounded by loved ones on September 19, 2017 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 4 days.
 

He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather to his family and his family meant the world to him. He enjoyed playing his guitar, mowing the lawn, taking care of the cemetery and sitting on the porch visiting with friends and family. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and loved to read his Bible.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents; 16 siblings, 2 sons; Runaway Beaver and Sammy Beaver, 3 grandchildren, Joe Scott Jr., Trenton “Dozer” Beaver and Bluebird Davis.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 60 years; Susie Beaver of the home, children; Evelyn Beaver, Davis Beaver, Carolyn Eubanks and husband Shelby, Velma Fuson all of Stilwell, OK, Dawna Davis and husband Josh of Woodall, OK, Hickory Beaver and wife Emily of Park Hill, OK, Renee Campbell and husband Tink of Stilwell, Ok, 1 sister; Nellie Sue Pettit of Sallisaw, OK. 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 on the way, “a special little boy” Juan Garcia, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Larry Swafford and Bro. Donnie Sanders officiating.

Interment followed Hickory Vann Hollow Cemetery, Bunch, Oklahoma.
