BONETA O. ALLISON

29 Jan 1909 - 13 Oct 1996

Mooreland - The funeral for Boneta O. Allison, 87, will be aat 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Mooreland First United Methodist Church with the Rev Emery Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Moscow Cemetery, south of Mooreland, under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 29, 1909 in Moscow Flats to James and Grace (Reilly) Merklin and died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1996, in the Woodward Hospital and Health Center.

She was raised in the Moscow Flats area and attended the Moscow School. She graduated from Mooreland High School in 1928 and then attended the Woodward Business School. She began working as a bookkeeper for Star Model and worked there until 1933. On Dec. 26, 1932, she married Frank Allison at the Christian Church Parsonage in Woodward. In 1933 they moved to Compton, Calif, where she worked as a bookeeper for Kimball's Clothing Store until the mid 1950's. She then worked for Kermode and Hamner in Southgate, Calif. until her retirement in 1974. She moved to Mooreland in January 1995.

She attended the Mooreland First United Methodist Church, and was active in her P.E.O. chapter in California.

She is survived by her son, Bob Allison of Ashville, N.Y.; one brother, Harl Merklin of Mutual; one sister Mrs. Omer (Marguerite) Schnoebelen of Mooreland; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchilddren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with the funeral home acting as custodian.
