Dean White, 91 year old Mooreland area farmer and rancher, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 in Mooreland. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Mooreland Cemetery with the Reverend Ray Blakley officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Thursday at the Billings Chapel in Mooreland from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Walter Dean White was born on July 4, 1927 in Woodward County, Oklahoma to Walter Warren and Zelma Mae (Knight) White. Dean grew up on the family farm east of Woodward and attended Boggy School. He graduated from Mooreland High School. Dean farmed and ranched all of his life in Woodward County.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Dean enjoyed traveling, square dancing and family reunions. He loved square dancing and anytime he found out they were having a dance he was there square dancing. He spent a lot of his time in Red River, New Mexico with family and friends. Most of all he loved being with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There was nothing he liked better than watching the wheat grow.

He is survived by his son, Ronald D. White and wife Donna of Mooreland; grandchildren: Rachell Bowers and husband Joe of Mustang, Troy White and wife Gina, Kristin Stinnett of Mooreland, Tiffany Schultz and husband Lance of Shattuck; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Cooper and Tyson White, Gatlin and Allyn Goodson, Jackson and Addie Stinnett, Carrie and Emery Bowers; other relatives and friends.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Zelma White, one daughter Randa Sims, brothers Earl and Wes, and sisters Dorothea, Doris, Linda, and Beverly.
