Wanda was born March 30, 1935, in Oklahoma City to Lorenzo and Gladys Woy of Enid and died Friday, April 3, 2009, in Oklahoma City.

Wanda graduated from Enid High School in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart, Donnie Thomas, in Enid. During Donnie's stint in the U.S. Navy, their first daughter, Tamara Ann, was born. They had relocated to Chickasha when their youngest daughter, Joanna Dawn, was born. Soon after, the family made their longtime home in Mooreland. Wanda was an active member of her church and served on various committees. She was a Red Hat Society member. However, she was probably best known among her old friends in Enid as a tireless organizer and active participant in her class of 1953 Enid High School reunions. She loved people and spent a good deal of time keeping up with all her friends by e-mail. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Donnie, of the home; daughter, Tami and husband Harold Deever of Maili Point , Hawaii; two grandsons, Kedron Sittner and wife Megan of Woodward and Brady Sittner and wife Rachelle of Mutual; granddaughter, Chelsea Deever of Stillwater; great-grandson, Layne Albert, and great-granddaughter, Tatum Jo.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her youngest daughter Joanna, and one infant grandson.

Memorials may be made in Wanda's name to American Cancer Society with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
