Donald DeWayne Robinson

Sepember 1, 1932 ~ July 16, 2020

Donald DeWayne Robinson was born on September 1, 1932 in Belva, Oklahoma to Royal M. and Alice Louise (Butler) Robinson and went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2020 at the age of 87.

Don graduated from Enid High School in 1950. Upon graduating from high school he joined the Navy during the Korean Conflict, he was discharged in 1953. He worked for Gold Spot Dairy in Enid during high school and after his discharge. Don attended OSU Okmulgee Tech from 1953 to 1956; it was there he met Patricia Mitchell and they were married on September 1, 1956.

Dons job transferred them to Odessa, Texas, Salem, Illinois, Enid and Woodward, OK. Don was a long time Mooreland businessman. On October 22, 1964, Don purchased Stout Auto Supply in Mooreland. In 1970 he and Pat purchased Van Frank Hardware and combined the auto supply inventory with the hardware becoming Mooreland Auto Supply and Hardware. They had worked together in the store until Pats death in 1998. All three of their children worked there as they were growing up.

After selling his business in 1999, Don enjoyed traveling and spending time with his friends and family.

Don was active in the community and had held offices in the Mooreland Chamber of Commerce, Mooreland Lions Club, IOOF Lodge and Mooreland school board.

Don is survived by one son, Kelly Robinson of Arlington, TX; two daughters, Karen Barker and husband Dennis of Clinton, and Su Mathews and husband Bo of Edmond; three granddaughters Amanda Stevens, Jennifer Barker, Robyn and husband Aaron Caldwell and two grandsons Jesse Mathews and fiance Carson Holland, Luke Mathews and wife Mattie; four great-granddaughters, Kennedy Winter and husband Lane, Reagan Stevens, McKinley and Brianna Caldwell; and one great grandson Anthony Caldwell. He is also survived by one sister, Evlyn Crawford and family; sister-in-law Frankie Byford and family; and his long time friend and companion, Carol Ingraham and her family, Kevin Ingraham and wife Debbie, Kyle Ingraham and wife Tammy, Karma Elkins and husband Kenny, and Kerry Ingraham and wife Karen; and numerous other family members.

A funeral service to honor the life of Don will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in the Mooreland First Baptist Church with Reverend David Houchin Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
