Harold Duane Phillips

Harold (Bud) Phillips, 85-year-old Enid resident, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at the Garland Road Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Benson officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Harold Duane Phillips was born on Aug. 19, 1935, near the Haskew community in Oklahoma to Paul Ray and Eva Mae (Maddux) Phillips. Bud graduated from Mooreland High School in 1953. Bud was united in marriage to Carolyn Brawner in 1953 and to this union they were blessed with three daughters: Kathy, Vicky and Connie. After farming in Mooreland they moved to Enid where Bud worked for George E. Failing Co. until his retirement.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Corley on Nov. 2, 1985. They made their home in Waukomis before moving to Enid in 1987. Bud was a member of the Garland Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, leather working, fishing, hunting and was an expert at making knives. Bud also enjoyed snow skiing with his family. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Phillips of the home in Enid; daughters: Kathy Guthrie and husband Vernon of Oklahoma City, Vicky Flaming and husband Roger of Lahoma, Connie Franklin and husband Randy of Yukon; step-son, Ken Lakins and wife Guixiang of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister Verla Vaughan and husband Irving of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ray Dean Phillips, sister Ramona Dubois, and step-son, Allen Lakins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Garland Road Baptist Church with the Billings Funeral Home, 1621 Downs Avenue, Woodward, OK 73801 accepting the contributions.
