Woodward County, Oklahoma

Mooreland – The funeral for Anita Louise Miller, 60, will be 3 PM Tuesday at Mooreland First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home.

She was born June 8, 1940, in Mooreland to Leslie and Mary Burdick Pressnall and died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at Integris Baptist Medical Ctr., Oklahoma City.

She graduated from Mooreland high school in 1958. On March 24, 1958, she married Jack Miller in Mooreland. She graduated from LPN school, Woodward, and earned a degree in nursing from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1985.

She worked at Meadowlake Mental Hospital, Enid, then became a nursing instructor at Tonkawa. She became director of nursing for Mooreland Golden Age Nursing Center in 1989 and in 1990 became nursing instructor for High Plains Vo-Tech School of Practical Nursing, retiring in 1997 due to ill health.

Surviving are two sons, Darrell and Devry of Mooreland; one brother, Wilbur Pressnall of Ponca City; one sister, Rita Rhines of Joplin, Missouri; her father, Leslie Pressnall of Mooreland; and four grandchildren.
