Funeral services for Shirley Jo Ewing, 82, of Fairview, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Fairview Church of the Nazarene in Fairview, Oklahoma. Pastors Dillon Zimmerman and Chuck McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Shirley Jo Ewing passed away peacefully at the Okeene Hospital in Okeene, Oklahoma on September 3, 2017, at the age of 82. She was born on a farm north of Mooreland, Oklahoma near the small community of Curtis, Oklahoma. She started school at Curtis Elementary School, before moving to Fairview, Oklahoma where she graduated from Fairview High School in 1953. In September of 1953 she married Milton Ewing and they moved onto a farm about 10 miles southeast of Fairview, where they excitedly ventured off into the next chapter of their lives. Over the next number of years, they were blessed and raised 5 children on that farm-Mike, Vince, Troy, Linda, and Todd. Shirley was an exceptional mother and wife and faithfully attended the Methodist Church in Fairview for many years. Later in life, she attended the Nazarene Church which she also felt very close to.

Shirley is survived by her husband Milton Ewing, son Mike Ewing and his wife Sheryl all of Fairview, Oklahoma, son Vince Ewing and his wife Lona of Allen, Texas, daughter Linda Zimmerman and her husband Mitch of Fairview and son Todd Ewing and his wife Jennifer of Salina, Kansas, eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Wanetia McNaught, 3 brothers, Roy, Buck and Si McNaught and one son Troy Ewing.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Fairview Church of the Nazarene of Fairview, Oklahoma with the Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
