Kathy Edwards, 60 year old Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Oklahoma City. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Katherine Sylvesta (Jones) Edwards was born October 14, 1961 to Kenneth Dale Jones and Cyrina Marie (Kline) Lang in Claremore, Oklahoma. Kathy grew up in Chelsea and attended Chelsea Schools. She also lived in Seiling, Woodward, Boise City and Ava, Missouri.

Kathy often enjoyed fishing, bingo, card games, going to the casino, and camping. Spending time with her grandchildren is what she loved most.

Kathy is survived by her life partner, John Dauphin; mother, Cyrina Lang; sons, Phillip Edwards, Jr. and wife Ashley; children, Haden Steier and Evelyn Steier; and Rhylen Edwards; daughter, Jill Moore and husband T.C. Heckman; children, Kyley Rowell; Adam and Cory Heckman; daughter, Judy Brown and husband Moises Pauda; children, Charles Garnette, Diego Maravilla, Quentin Pauda; and Thalia Pauda; brothers Tony B. Jones and wife Linda; and Brent Thompson; Del Lee Lang; sisters Sharon Collier and husband Jamel; Debbie Massey; Ronna Atchely and husband Teddy; and Donna Atchely; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her grandfather, Harol Totman; mother in law, Norma Corram; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Jones and wife Judy, one great grandson, Camdyn Maravilla, and brother in law, Richard Atchely.

She is sassy but so giving and kind hearted. She loved being at the lake. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She was stubborn and strong willed but very loving.

In Lieu of flowers Kathy’s family has requested any memorial donations made be made to Billings Funeral Home.
