Rites Held Monday For Thelma Dillard

Thelma Irene Dillard, 67 years old former Mooreland resident of Oklahoma City died early Saturday morning, March 18, 1978. Funeral services were held Monday, March 20, in the Billings-Knittel Funeral Home with Floyd Thompson, pastor of the Mooreland First Christian Church, officiating.

Interment was made in Mooreland Cemetery under the direction of Billings-Knittel Funeral Home.

Thelma Irene McDowell was born August 25, 1910 near Mooreland, the daughter of Earl Eugene and Tresa Agnes Vogt McDowell. She lived her early life in Mooreland, attending Mooreland and Chick Schools.

In 1930, she moved to San Antonio, Texas, and in 1936 made her home in the Mooreland and Woodward area. In 1942 she was married to R. M. Dillard in Woodward. In the latter 1950's she made her home in Oklahoma City and had resided there the past 20 years. Thelma was a retired Laundry Supervisor for the University Hospital and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Kenneth Lee Roy McDowell is Thelma's only son.
