IDA MAY ANDERSON

7 Mar 1885 - 21 Dec 1981

Mooreland – Mrs. May Anderson, 96, formerly of the Mooreland area, died Monday in a Sweetwater, Texas, nursing center after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday in the Billings – Knittel Funeral Home Chapel at Mooreland with the Rev. Posey Gaines, minister of the Mooreland First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Mooreland Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was born March 7, 1885, at Taylor County, Texas. From 192o to 1965, she ran a farm and ranch in the Quinlan and Curtis areas and for the past 15 years had made her home at Sweetwater, Texas.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Madge Geldert, Sweetwater, Texas; one son, David J. Horn, Woodward; one brother, Jim Reese, Mooreland; two grandchildren; two great – grandchildren; and two great – great – grandchildren.
