The death of Mathew Alley occurred at his home, north of Curtis, Sunday, April 17. He was aged 60 years, 6 months and 24 days. His death was caused by pneumonia, after an illness of a week.

Mr. Alley was born in Iowa, Sept. 24, 1871. He married Miss Miverna Boyle in 1892. The wife and five children survive. The children are C. L. Alley and C. M. Alley, both of Freedom, Oklal.; Mrs Hazel Lancaster of Seaside, Oregon; Keith Alley and Vinita Alley, both at home.

Funeral will be held Thrusday afternoon at 3 o'clock in th eM. E. Church. Interment in Mooreland Cemetery.

Mr. Alley was a pioneer settler in this community, residing here since the early days of the Strip. He lived in eastern Colordo for a few years, before teturning to this community a short while ago.
