David Dean Wyatt

David D. Wyatt, 87 year old Bethany resident and former Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his home in Bethany. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating.

David Dean Wyatt was born on January 22, 1938 in Woodward, Oklahoma to David F. and Florence Glendene (Clow) Wyatt. He grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. David attended Panhandle A&M for one year before attending Oklahoma City University, where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Business. David was a member of the National Guard and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He was united in marriage to Lillie "Jannette" Crites on September 27, 1957 in Oklahoma City. They made their first home in Oklahoma City before moving to Waco, Texas. They later returned to Bethany, Oklahoma. David worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, Little Giant Pump Company, and was a Manager of Agency's for Mistletoe Express and until his retirement. He also ran Wyatt Tex Pack Express.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing tennis, but most of all he loved playing poker with his friends. He loved spending time with his family and he loved going on camping trips with his parents, his sisters, Jannette and the kids.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jannette Wyatt of the home in Bethany; one son Timothy David Wyatt and wife Dianna of Texas; one daughter Michelle Annette Sanford of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren: Janell Alma Alyson Wyatt Chambers of Colorado, David Malcom Monroe Sanford of Oklahoma City; one great-grandchild, Olivia Lynn Alyson Chambers of Colorado; two sisters: Ramona Mitchell of Woodward, Laveta Jones of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; other relatives and many friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rufus and Anna Wyatt, G.C. and Lela Clow, his parents, David F. and Florence Glendene Wyatt and an infant daughter, Kathleen Diane Wyatt.
