Juana Janice Wasmer

May 16, 1943 ~ January 23, 2021

On January 23, 2021 Juana Janice Wasmer passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home. Janice was the fifth child born to James and Bessie (Harris) Branham in Medicine Park, OK on May 16, 1943.

Janice mostly grew up in the Midwest City and Anadarko areas, but was also able to experience many different places throughout Oklahoma during her childhood. Janice attended Anadarko Public Schools until the tenth grade when she married and moved to Woodward, OK. In Woodward she would bear and raise 3 children. Later, she was united in marriage to Edward (Eddie) Wasmer in 1989 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward for three years, until the sudden passing of Eddie. Janice remained in Woodward where she would spend the rest of her life surrounded by family.

Janice spent her earlier days in Woodward working in the food service industry and volunteering for the local hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, spending time with her dog, cooking and baking. Janice loved to find interesting decorations to fill her house and also enjoyed filling her house with conversation and laughter as much as she could. Janice was an excellent cook and always enjoyed spending time making delicious homemade food. The family especially loved when she would whip up some homemade bread! When Janice wasn’t spending time with others, gardening or cooking she could be found watching her favorite soap operas with her dog by her side.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Edward (Eddie) Wasmer; sister, Kathryn Yoder; brother Neil Edwin; parents, James and Bessie Branham; daughter, Theresa Lynn Burchett; great grandson, Kolbe Newport; great grandson Jason Lee Woody Moss; and former husbands Ronnie Wilcox & Brady Pribble

Janice is survived by her two sons: Quint Pribble and wife Diana of Woodward, OK; Jerry Pribble and wife Patricia of Noble, OK; one daughter: Sherri Taylor and husband Jeff of Norman, OK; one brother: Carrol Gene of late wife Loretta of League City, TX; two sisters: Linda Rackley and late husband Carl of Yukon, OK; JoAnn Osburn and late husband Charlie of Meridian, Mississippi; grandchildren: Jamie Savoie and husband Josh; Kyle Pribble & wife Amanda; Jacqueline Plowman & husband Kyle; Earon Newport & husband Bryan; Jennifer Pribble; Travis Pribble & wife Lesleigh; Rhiannon Woods & Husband Micheal; Celesta Ramey & husband Aaron; Elisa Allen & husband Braiden; Kota Taylor & wife; Sarah; Askel Jensen; Dru Taylor; Draiden Taylor; Steven Ross and wife Julie; Theresa Jones (Moss); and Leslie Moss; great grandchildren: Alexis Groce; Jordan Benites; Kaylee Groce; Jenna Plowman; Haidyn Savoie; Chance Plowman; Keith Savoie; Landree Pribble; Nash Pribble; Sabin Failing; Icealeana Failing; Avery Woods; Riley Newport; Dominic Newport; Taylor Newport; Maddox Newport; Barry Allen; Faith Ramey; Isabella Ramey; Branson Ramey; great-great grandson Jason Underhill; and other relatives and friends.
