ELLEN "LAVON" WASHBURN

July 30, 1929 - Jan. 20, 2013

Woodward, Okla. — Ellen "LaVon" Washburn, 83 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 1, 2013 at the St. John's Episcopal Church with Vicar Mary Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ellen LaVon (Adams) LaDue Washburn was born on July 30, 1929 in the Keenan community, Oklahoma to William Jennings and Anona (Barbour) Adams. She was raised in Fargo and graduated from Fargo High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Robert Kenneth LaDue on September 11, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were blessed with two children, Paula and Peggy. LaVon worked for the Shattuck National Bank for 25 years.

She was united in marriage to Ben Oscar Washburn on January 21, 1978 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Shattuck. They moved to Woodward in 1996 and have lived here since.
