Wanda Corrine  Story  StroudWanda C. Stroud, 76 year old Woodward resident, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at her home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shane Rackley officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Wanda Corrine (Story) Stroud was born on July 2, 1938 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Harold Ivan and Pluma Alice (Chabino) Story. Wanda was reared on the family farm at Sharon, Oklahoma and attended school there. She was united in marriage to Bill Wayne Stroud on July 16, 1966 in Clayton, New Mexico. They made their home in Woodward and she has lived in Woodward since that time. Wanda worked for Tregos Westwear for several years and later the Grace Living Center.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Wanda loved sewing baby quilts and clothing, especially for her family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, yard work and OU Football. Wanda loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Kornele and wife Brenda; two daughters, Connie Johnson and husband Johnny, LaDona Fleharty; three sisters, Gretah Arnold and husband Harry, Omega Jean Fain, Dorothy Fry; seven grandchildren, Jeramie Johnson, Jennifer Long and husband Willie, Brandon Kornele and wife Jennifer, Clint Fleharty and wife Samantha, Kendra Estep and husband Derek, Brandt Fleharty and wife Christina, Kassy Urbanosky and husband Matt; nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Kaden, Alexandria, Kole, Jaycee, Aubrey, Ava, Logan, and Kyle; other relatives and many friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Bill Stroud, her parents, Harold and Pluma Story, two brothers, Harold Dale Story and Vernon Lee Story, two sisters, Effie Chaulapek and Myrtle Coffey.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
