Lonnie Dwain Stafford

April 26, 1955 ~ November 30, 2020

Lonnie Stafford, 65 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Marines.

Lonnie Dwain Stafford was born on April 26, 1955 in Perryton, Texas to Vernon Truman Stafford and Oleta Mae (Evans) Straughan. Lonnie grew up in Perryton, Texas and Woodward, Oklahoma. He attended school and later received his GED. Lonnie was inducted into the United States Marine Corp and served his country until being honorably discharged.

Lonnie worked several different places and was a jack of all trades. He had most recently been working for Ms Rhonda at Tidy Dog Doos Grooming. He loved his grandbabies, Alexis, Blake, Keeley, Jade, Brylonn, and Gracelynn and he cherished every moment he spent with them. He also enjoyed riding horses, grooming dogs, and dancing. Lonnie was an outstanding family oriented man. He loved his family with his whole heart and anyone that met him was immediately a friend to him.

He is survived by one son, Shane Stafford; one daughter Breanne Stafford; six grandchildren: Alexis, Blake, Keeley, Jada, Brylonn, and Gracelynn; five great-grandchildren: Aaliyah, Tasha, Connor, Taylynn, and Chevelle; brothers: Danny Holcombe and wife Gena, Dwayne Holcombe and wife DeeDee, Ron Holcombe, Doug Stafford and wife Rhena, and Danny Stafford; two sisters, Debbie Tapia, Shannon Evans; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Cory Lynn Stafford, Taylon Chance Stafford, granddaughters, Alyssa Ramirez, Taia Stafford, his parents, sisters, LaDonna Shutts, Christie Holcombe, April Meeks, and a niece Jodi Stafford-Harrington.

Memorial contributions may be made to the WOOF Pet Rescue or the VA with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
