MARK NISSEN RAZIEN

March 11, 1952 - January 21, 2018

Mark Razien, 65, lifelong Woodward resident, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at his home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mark Nissen Razien was born on March 11, 1952 in Woodward, Oklahoma; he was the son of Abraham “Abe” and Cleo (McDaniel) Razien. Mark attended Woodward Schools and graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 1970. He was united in marriage to Sandy Rae Begley at the First Assembly of God Church in Woodward on November 4, 1972. They made their home in Woodward for their entire married life. Mark and Sandy were blessed with three children, Amanda, Natalie, and Nathan. Mark worked at the family business for Razien Metals for a short time, and as a Service Advisor at McKay Ford, but was mainly known for his work at Mr. Water Sales, and as Co-Owner with his wife of Taco Factory.

Mark loved to laugh and spread happiness, always there with a joke and smile. He cherished his family, and enjoyed every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was always willing to give freely of his time and money to help someone in need. Mark also enjoyed bowling and riding around listening to golden oldies.

Mark is survived by his wife Sandy of the home; daughters, Amanda Compton and husband Chad of St. Louis, Missouri; Natalie Razien of Woodward; son, Nathan Razien and wife Raquel of Woodward; five grandchildren, Kaidden Razien, Gabriel Rueba, Heath Reed, Madelyn Reed, Chase Compton; sisters, Sylvia Dolan and husband Jim of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Leslie Razien of Edmond; brother, Charles Razien and wife Ramona of Edmond; other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his older brother, David Razien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma United Circle of Care for Woodward Foster Homes with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
