Louis William NEAGLE

October 5, 1933 ~ January 16, 2021

Louis William Neagle, 87 year old Woodward resident, passed on to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Louis was born on October 5, 1933 on the home place in Mutual, Oklahoma to Homer Albert and Nellie Edna (Symes) Neagle. Louis grew up on a farm outside of Mutual and graduated from Mutual High School. Louis was united in marriage to Elva Mae Jones on July 10, 1955 at the Mutual First Christian Church and made their home in Woodward.

Louis served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1955 to 1958. Four children were born to Louis and Elva Mae - Larry, Karen, Donna and Brian.

Louis started farming as a young man and worked at Woodward Packing Company and Boomer Packing Company until retirement. Louis enjoyed fishing and camping with his family as well as attending his grandchildrens sporting events.

Louis is survived by his four children- Larry and wife Judy of Edmond, Karen and husband Daniel Leroux of Liberty Hill, Texas, Donna and husband Gary Moore of Oklahoma City and Brian of Woodward. He leaves nine grandchildren- Mandy Garvie, Kandace Phillips, Kristen Patterson, Lance Neagle, Nicole Esler, Christopher Leroux, Candice Moore, Brittany Brown, and Alyson Brinkman. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Elva Mae.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Woodward, Oklahoma with Billings Funeral Home accepting the contributions.
