UNEITA MOREHART

12 Feb 1918 - 3 Apr 1997

WOODWARD - The funeral for Uneita Morehart, 79, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Garden Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Service with the Rev. Kathryn Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

She was born Feb 12, 1918, southwest of Woodward to George and Josie Ann Semler Marston and died Thursday April 3, 1997, in Okarche.

She graduated from Woodward High School and attended Oklahoma aState University. On Sep, 21, 1939, she married Carl F. Morehart in Woodward. They lived in Kansas, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Illinois before returning to Oklahoma, settling in Alva. They later owned and operated the Camp Houston Station and Store north of Freedom for 14 years. In 1964 they moved to Woodward where he owned a real estate agency. Following her husbands death in 1986 she spent most of her time in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas though she kept her home in Woodward.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Woodward.

She is survived by one daughter, Carla Pounds of Okarche; one sister, Edith Moore of Cucamonga, Calif. and a grandson, Michael Pounds of Okarche.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, and infant son and a brother.
