LENA PHYLLIS LONG

Sep. 22, 1929 - Dec. 26, 2007

Lena Phyllis (Croisant) Long was born on September 22, 1929 in Mooreland; she was the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Smith) Croisant. The family moved to California during the depression and she was reared in Modesto, California. Lena graduated from Modesto High School in 1948. While in high school, she was the drum major for the high school band. She moved back to Mooreland where she met Wilbur Eugene Long. They were married on June 8, 1950 in Woodward. They made their home in Woodward. To this union, four children were born, Phyllis, Vicki, Chris, and Char. Lena went to nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the Woodward Hospital and for Dr. Flack. She then begin working for Dr. Braly, working there until her retirement.

Lena and Wilbur enjoyed traveling to every one of their grandchildren's activities. She also loved to quilt and play Skip-Bo.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Parker of Garland, Texas; Char Astler and husband Dallas of Garland, Texas; one son, Chris Long and wife Kim of Capron, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Emily Holmes and husband Marc of Dallas, Texas; Drew Parker of Garland, Texas; Trae and Christian Astler of Garland, Texas; Monty Long of Montana, Travis Long and wife Jeanie of Waynoka; great grandchildren, Courtney, Sadie, Brock, Brody and Brac; sisters, Veda Gonser and husband Jack of Mooreland; Judy McAdoo of Woodward; brothers Deon Croisant and wife Beverly of Woodward; Jesse Croisant of Guymon; Jarel Hansen and wife Linda of Checotah; nephews, Lance Hansen and his children, Alexa and Jaxon; Dustin Hansen and wife Kara and their children, Kasia, Kanan, Acyn, and Justice.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur on July 5, 2005, her parents and one daughter, Vicki Carol Long.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association with the funeral home accepting the memorials.
