Funeral: 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 - Billings Funeral Home Chapel

Interment: Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 - Elmwood Cemetery

Lillian Irene Loghry, 93 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 in the Vici Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Lillian Irene Loghry was born on January 25, 1924 in Huggins, Missouri to William Henry and Lydia May (Friend) Loghry. Lillian grew up in Centralia, Oklahoma and attended school there. After moving to Woodward, she went to work for Harold’s Bakery and Nichol’s Dime Store. Lillian then moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked at Orr’s Bookstore. She also worked at Boeing during World War II as a “Rosie the Riveter.” She later worked at Kidwell’s Hardware until she retired. Lillian moved to Woodward in the early 1980's to be close to family. For the past two years Lillian has lived with her sister Donna Ball.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She loved being with her family, gardening, working in her yard and reading.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Ball of Woodward; sisters-in-law, Gladys Loghry and Opal Loghry; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Lloyd, Everett, Herbert, Preston, and Delmer and her two sisters, Drexel and Lettie.
