Funeral: 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 - First United Methodist Church

Colleen Hosier, 84 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ray Blakley and the Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Theda Colleen (Cooper) Hosier was born on November 10, 1929 in Ft. Supply, Oklahoma to Leon and Opal (Dwell) Cooper. She was reared in northwest Oklahoma including Laverne, Ft.Supply and Woodward.

She was united in marriage to Elmer Hosier on June 13, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three children, Linda, Terri, and Mike. They made their home in Woodward and have lived there since that time. Colleen worked as a Nurse for Dr. Braly for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Queen Esther, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a board member on the P.O.M.C. for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. Colleen always enjoyed a game of Pitch with her friends and family and she loved watching her grandchildren play ball.

Colleen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elmer Hosier of the home; two daughters, Linda Reschke and husband Virgil of Tecumseh, Terri Priest of Woodward; three grandchildren, Brad, Stacy, Kathy; three great-grandchildren, Shayla, Jessica, Tyler; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Mike in 1979, and her brother Buck Cooper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer’s Research with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
