Allen Raymond Harper

August 24, 1911 ~ February 29, 1980

Woodward – Services for Allen Raymond Harper, 68, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday in the Good Samaritan Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Dale Powell, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will conduct the rites. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Harper died Friday.

He was born August 24, 1911, in Beaver County to Mr. and Mrs. James Harper. He married the former Edith Merea Neihart, April 27, 1935, in Arnett. The couple lived in Beaver County until 1937 when they moved to Ellis County.

In 1950 they moved to a farm southwest of Woodward. Harper was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Edith, of the home; one son, Jack, and Calera; one daughter, Violet Lane, Woodward; one brother, Willis, Reno, Nevada; one sister, Julia Henry, Laverne, and four grandchildren.

Good Samaritan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
