Judy Lynn Parks Hammock

Judy Lynn Hammock passed from this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at her home with her husband by her side.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6th, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. A burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6th, 2023.

Judy was born on September 16, 1958, to Lon and Jackie Marvella (Caruthers) Parks in Woodward, OK. She grew up and attended school in Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School in 1976. After high school, Judy earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Central Oklahoma.

While in school, Judy found the love of her life, Donald "Donnie" Hammock. They married in 1981 in Olive, OK. They made their home in Cushing and Judy took a job for Drumright Public Schools. She worked in PreK to 3rd grade. She loved the kids she taught and enjoyed their young minds.

In her free time, Judy loved spending time with Donnie and tending to her flower beds. She also would never miss her evening swims. Judy was a loving wife, teacher, and friend. She will be missed.

Judy is survived by her husband, Donnie, of the home, one sister, Toni Howe and husband, Wayne, of Woodward. Judy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Jackie Marvella Parks; two brothers, Keith and Danny Parks. Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.palmermarlerfh.com.
