Marcella Sue Hughes Forrest

October 4, 1944 ~ October 14, 2022

Sue Forrest, 78 year old Woodward resident, went to be with our Savior on Friday, October 14, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Marcella Sue Story Forrest was born October 4, 1944, in Sharon, Oklahoma to Cyrus Virgil Story and Rosa Naomi (Adams) Story. Sue grew up in Sharon and graduated from Sharon High School in 1962. She was blessed with two daughters, Kimberly and Kristi.

Sue attended the Enid Business College, and American Teller School in Phoenix. She worked at Southwestern Public Electrical Service in Guymon, Oklahoma. She married Kenneth Forrest in 1989 in Guymon and they moved to Woodward, where they made their home. Sue worked at Farm Credit where she processed,closed loans, and greeted customers. She retired from Farm Credit in 2006. Sue wasn’t happy being retired, so she took a job with Independent Opportunities of Oklahoma where she worked with special needs adults in the community helping provide services for them and planning special days.

Sue is survived by her husband Kenneth W. Forrest of the home. Two daughters, Kimberly (Crites) Sandoval and husband Christopher of Hugoton, Kansas and Kristi (Crites) Haney and husband Bryan of Yukon, Oklahoma. Her beloved grandchildren Chandler Sandoval, Kassidy Sandoval, Kenzey (Sandoval) Croft, Delayne Pio, and Devory Pio and Brandi Haney. Sue also had 4 great grandchildren, Kamdyn, Kenna, Kashlee, and Coy. Her brothers Jerry Story and wife Norma, Keith Story and wife Mona all of Sharon, Oklahoma. Kenneth's children, Lonnie Forrest and wife Casey of Woodward, Amy Lower and husband Jeff of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sue was preceded in death by her oldest grandson Chandler Clay Sandoval, and step-son Derek Forrest.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Diabetes Research with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
