Janet Sue Mitchell Deree

December 24, 1943 ~ May 7, 2012

DeRee, Janet Sue, 68, of Cyril, OK passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born December 24, 1943 in Walters, Oklahoma to Nolan and Wilma (Atterbery) Mitchell.

Janet grew up and attended school in Leavenworth, Kansas before moving to San Francisco, CA and graduating from Galileo High School. She received her teaching degree from Cameron University in Lawton, OK and taught for over 20 years in the Lawton Public Schools. Her hobbies included gardening, art, poetry and a love for animals.

Janet is survived by her husband, Michael; her mother, Wilma Mitchell of Norman; son, Clint Bragg, Jr. and wife Amber of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, Lisa Pittman and husband Scott of Norman and Michelle Moritz and husband Lance of Japan; stepson, Marcus DeRee of Waterloo, Iowa; stepdaughter, Tracy More and husband Butch of Sleepy Eye, MN; grandchildren, Tyler McCoy, Micah McCoy, Kendall Bragg, Morgan Bragg, Ty Moritz and Jude Moritz; and great grandchild, Baylee Means. She is preceded in death by her father; grandson, Matthew Means; sisters, Janice Mitchell and Donna Mitchell; and niece, Sarah Reynaud.
