Janice Geneva Tracy Dennis

October 19, 1934 ~ June 4, 2020

Janice Dennis, 85 year old Woodward resident died Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Janice G. (Tracy) Dennis was born on October 19, 1934 the daughter of Frank and Hilda (Scheuerman) Tracy. Jan grew up and attended school in Great Bend, Kansas. Jan was united in marriage to James E. "Jim" Dennis on July 4, 1953 in Great Bend where they made their home. They were blessed with five children, Karen, Sharon, Rick, Debbie and Steve. Jan and Jim lived in Kansas; and Milburn, Oklahoma before settling in Woodward, where they raised their family. Jan and Jim owned and operated Dennis Manufacturing.

She loved her family, her dogs, Bambi and Trixie. She also enjoyed outdoor sports, traveling, bowling, puzzles, going to the casino, card games, and camping.

Jan is survived her daughter, Karen Trent of Elk City; her son Rick Dennis of Woodward; daughter, Debbie Duncan of Enid; son, Steve Dennis of Kermit, Texas; sons-in-law, Donnie Kindred of Woodward; Butch Dunkin of Hennessey; 13 grandchildren, Kevin Gray; Chris and Felecia Trent; Jody and Jason Kindred; Jaymie Childers; James, Jerame, Jared, and Jacob Dunkin; Josh, Natalie, Rachel Dennis; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Lohrding of Bella Vista, Arkansas; brother, Don Tracy of Great Bend, Kansas; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hilda Tracy; husband, James Dennis, brother, Norman Tracy, daughter, Sharon Kindred, and great-granddaughter, Trinity Dobson.
