Charles Norton Canfield, Jr

Charles Canfield, Jr., 64 year old Woodward resident, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 in Enid. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Charles Norton Canfield, Jr was born on January 9, 1957 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Charles Norton Sr. and Shirley Jane (Westenhaver) Canfield. Chuck grew up on a farm southeast of Woodward and attended Woodward schools. He was united in marriage to Tonie Fentch and they were blessed with two sons: Lucas and Gabriel.

He worked as a concrete finisher and he enjoyed gardening and repairing things. He enjoyed watching his Denver Broncos but he really liked any team that was playing against the Dallas Cowboys. Chuck loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Canfield; two sons: Lucas Blackard and wife Melissa, Gabriel Blackard; one brother Kenny Canfield; four sisters: Debbie McAdoo and husband Kent, Linda Jackson, Jolene Martin, Ilene Bruce; grandchildren: Korbin, Keely, Kenslee, and Kruz Blackard, Macie and Eddie Blackard; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Charles, stepson, Daniel Maze, grandparents, Bus and Margaret Canfield, Buck and Verdi Westenhaver, and other relatives.
