Woodward, Okla. — Rita Bryer, 51 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tony Barros officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Rita Darlene (Murrow) Bryer was born November 30, 1957 in Alva, Oklahoma to Virgil Lyle and Pearl Marie (Utterback) Murrow. She grew up in Alva and attended Alva schools. Rita was united in marriage to Carl Levern Bryer on October 5, 1974 in Alva, Oklahoma. They were blessed with seven children, Seth, Levi, Amanda, Rachel, Bishop, Elsbeth, and Winter. They made their first home in Alva and lived there until moving to Woodward in 1982. While living in Alva, Rita worked for the Daylight Donut Shop. In Woodward, Rita worked for National Oil Well for 10 years and also worked for Stride Well Services.

Rita enjoyed working outside on the yard, riding horses, collecting Kirk Folly, Crochet, and working on stained glass. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her parents, Lyle and Pearl Murrow of Alva; her husband Carl Bryer of Woodward; three sons, Seth Bryer of Wichita, Kansas; Levi Bryer and wife Lyndsey of Woodward, Bishop Nutter; four daughters, Amanda Hardy and husband Jason of Woodward, Rachel Bryer of Woodward, Elsbeth Nutter, Winter Bryer; two brothers, Randy Murrow of Minnesota, Virgil Murrow of Alva; one sister, Regina Mahon and husband Rick of Alva; seven grandchildren, Cody Nutter, Lora Jackson, Levi Jackson, Ajannah Brack, Amarah Bryer, Sarah Hardy and Emily Hardy; other relatives and many friends.

Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents.
