VIRGINIA E. BOOKSTORE

11 Apr 1938 - 9 Apr 2002

SHATTUCK - The funeral for Virginia E. Bookstore , 63, will be at 2 p.m. at Zwanziger Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Steenbergen will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Zwanziger Funeral Home.

She was born April 11, 1938, in a sod house in Harper County to C. L. "Roy" and Ethel L. Handley and died Tuesday April 9, 2002 at Shattuck.

She graduated from Ft. Supply High School, attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and was a graduate of Tempe College, Tempe Arizona. She served in the Air Force. Following her discharge, she became a licensed pilot, owning her own airplane. She worked for the Department of Economic Security in Arizona from which she retired in 1981. In 1996, she moved back to Shattuck.

Surviving are a brother, W.L. "Bill" Bookstore of Freedom and one sister, Shirley Watson of Woodward.
