Woodward, Okla. — Graveside services for Ruby “Joyce” Bearden 80 of Woodward will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 29, 2009 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward with Gordon Lawson officiating. Arrangements are made with the Nichols-Zwanziger Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Woodward.

Ruby Joyce Bearden was born on May 25, 1929 in Maude, Oklahoma to Wesley Decell and Lillie Beatrice Whisenhunt Temple. She departed from this life on Thursday August 27, 2009 at her home in Woodward.

Joyce was united in marriage to JW Bearden in August of 1947 in El Reno, Oklahoma. To this union was born 8 children Jimmy Wade, Dale Wayne, Bruce Don, Troy Lee, Danny Lee, Sharon Kay, Brenda Joyce, and Shelia Diana. She worked for 16 years in the Cafeteria of the Woodward Regional Hospital, but she spent her life caring for her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her husband JW of the home, 7 children, Jimmy Wade Bearden, Dale Wayne Bearden, Bruce Don Bearden, Troy Lee Bearden, Sharon Kay Young, Brenda Joyce Bearden, and Shelia Diana Bearden, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one brother Donald Temple, two sisters Wanda Buchanan and Molly Chenoweth, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Danny Lee Bearden and one brother LD Temple.
