Maxine E. Paulsen

Maxine Paulsen was born on September 4, 1935 near Mutual, OK to Roy and Beatrice (Gannon) Whitaker. She passed from this life on February 7, 2019 in Fairview, OK at the age of 83.

She graduated from Seiling High School in 1953 and attended Draughons Business College in Oklahoma City.

Maxine married Arthur K. Paulsen in Fairview, OK on November 26, 1960, a union of nearly 50 years until Arthur’s passing on September 4, 2010.

She was a member of the Central Christian Church and the Night Owls OHCE group. She worked at Farmers and Merchants National Bank in Fairview and Clayton’s Service in Chester.

Maxine’s hobby was doing Hardanger embroidery, and she won many Grand Champion Ribbons at the Major County Fair for her needlework.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur.

She is survived by her children Robert “Bob” Paulsen and wife Rosetta, Sheryl Shultz and husband Ray, and Max Paulsen; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister Arlene Logan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester, OK with Pastor Orville White presiding. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Memorial Donations in Maxine’s honor may be made to the Fairview Senior Citizens or the Central Christian Church with Redinger Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663).
