Mary Beth Allison Christensen

Mary Beth (Allison) Christensen, of Mutual, passed from this life on February 19, 2019, in Seiling at the age of 91 years, 7 months, and 13 days. Mary was born to Joseph “Joe” and Sarah Allison on July 6, 1927 on the family farm that was homesteaded by her Grandmother in the 1890’s. She was raised on the farm, graduating from Mutual High School with the Class of 1945. She was married to Robert “Bob” Christensen on May 6, 1947, in Canadian, TX and to this union were born five sons; Bobby Joe, Frank Craig, Mark Leon, twin boys and one daughter Melanie Ann.

Mary Beth described her career as “armwife and spent much of her time helping with farm chores and serving her Lord Jesus Christ. Mary Beth was a lifelong member of the Mutual Christian Church and Elder Emeritus. Her soul was made to serve others, especially those needing a kind word of encouragement. She always found good in everyone.

Raising her children and later grandchildren was the joy of her life. Again, she would encourage and provide a loving home making everyone feel special.

Mary Beth is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sarah Allison; Bob Christensen, her husband of 71 years; twin boys and daughter Melanie Ann Christensen.

She is survived by Bobby and wife Jayne Christensen of Midwest City, OK; Frank “Craig” and wife Linda Christensen of Seiling, OK; Mark Leon Christensen of Phoenix, AZ; adopted son Jayme Walker of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law Tom and wife Gena Christensen of Vici, OK; sisters-in-law Dee and husband Trigg Snider of Enid, OK and Roberta Christensen of Kiowa, KS, and Ligaya Allison of Tahlequah, OK; grandchildren Brandi and husband Kenton Levings, Adam and wife Trisha Christensen, Jeremy and wife Jenifer Christensen, Corey and wife Carolyn Christensen, Jay and wife Tina Christensen, Wesley Christensen, Whitney Christensen; 16 great grandkids; and many more friends, family, and loved ones.

Funeral Services for Mary Beth (Allison) Christensen will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Mutual Christian Church in Mutual, OK. Burial will follow at Dunlap Cemetery.

Memorial Donations in Mary Beth’s honor may be made to the Dunlap Cemetery with Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663) serving as custodian of the funds. Donations may also be made by paypal at redingerfuneralhome@yahoo.com
