Gertha Marie Jones, 89, Waynoka

Gertha Marie Jones, 89, daughter of George and Martha (Wells) Darrell, was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Irvine, Ky., and passed away Feb. 8, 2004, at Wichita Falls, Texas.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Rogers and H. P. Jones; two brothers, Raymond Darrell and Russell Darrell; one sister, Pearl Allen; one grandson, Shawn Rogers; and one great granddaughter, Lisa Heinshaw.

Gertha is survived by three sons, Bill Rogers of Farmsworth, Texas, Harold Rogers and his wife, Shirley, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Charles Rogers and his wife, Inez, of Wichita Falls, Texas; one daughter, Joyce Ryan and her husband, Paul, of Oxnard, Calif.; one brother, Jack Darrell of Winchester, Ky.; her son-in-law Darrell Edwards of Hugo; her beloved friends, Ivan Lakey of Waynoka, and Marilyn Rutz of Perryton, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Waynoka First Baptist Church with Rev. David Shaw officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the First Baptist Church, Waynoka.
