Sacred Heart Cemetery


Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father James A. Wickersham officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.whartonfuneralchapel.com
A wake service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Wharton Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will follow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mickey Joe, son of Josephine (Nussrallah) and Michael Bouziden, was born December 12, 1937 in Alva. He passed away at OU Medical Center on the 17th of May at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 5 days.
He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Alva High School before moving with his family to Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1956, and then served with the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Mickey returned to his hometown of Alva in 1957 joining the Bouziden families in farming and ranching. He spent most of his life brokering cattle across the United States, Mexico and Canada, where he leaves behind many good friends and customers.
Mickey took much joy and pride in piloting the Bouziden Cessna planes, especially the twin engine "Juliet" 5097, using it for business, family, friends and good deeds. In June 1963, he was united in marriage to Janice Grice. To this union two daughters' were born, Misty Kay and Shari Lynn.
In July 1977, he was married to Debra Martens. Born to this union were daughters Jennifer Ann and Michelle Leann and a son, Michael Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law George Foote.
Mickey is survived by daughters, Misty and Rick Kilcoin, Shari Bouziden, Jennifer and Michelle Bouziden and his son Michael; grandchildren Kaitlin and Megan White, Cassidy and Addison Kilcoin, and Alexa Bouziden. He also leaves behind his sisters, Dolores and her husband Bob Brady and Sandi Foote, two brothers and their wives, Bob and Ruby and Jerry and Cheryl; his loving companion of 20 years, Donita Luddington and many other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
