  Funeral services for Lola Myrtle Young were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 1981 at Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Freedom.
Lola Myrtle Pancoast was born on November 10, 1909 in Alva to William Virgil and Bessie Minerva (Moreland) Pancoast and died at the age of 72 on December 17, 1981 at her home in Oklahoma City. She had been a resident of Oklahoma City since 1960.
She married Orvin Leo McAlister on March 6, 1927 in Alva. They later divorced and she married Clayton Robert Young.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; and her children, Betty Lorraine McAlister and Billy Eugene McAlister.
In addition to her husband, Clayton, she is survived by her daughter, Naomi Faye Allen of Woodward; her sister, Reta Hepner of Freedom; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
