Funeral services for Susan Lee (Gooch) Brock were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the Alva First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Pastor Ron Pingelton officiating. Interment was in the Memorial Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Susan Lee Brock, daughter of the late Lee Lowell and Juanita Mary (Huffman) Gooch, was born October 14, 1949, at Waynoka, Oklahoma, and passed away at her home October 21, 2017, at the age of 68 years and 7 days. Sue graduated from Waynoka High School. On May 10, 1969, she was united in marriage to Vernon Wayne Brock at Waynoka, Oklahoma. She lived most of her life in the area and worked as a medication aide at the Waynoka Nursing Home and Share Convalescent Home until 2000. She loved animals and shopping. She also liked to sew, watch movies, and listen to music.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Terri Brock.

Sue is survived by her husband, Vernon, of Alva; two daughters, Sherri Pfeiffer and husband, Dwight, of Alva, and Danna Dow and husband, Josh, of Fairview; two brothers, John DeWitt and wife, Pat, of Laguna Beach, California, and Robert DeWitt and wife, Teresa, of Wichita; three granddaughters, Aydan, Hadlea, and Madelyn; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alva Food Bank.
