ENID, Okla. — The graveside service for Mrs. Margaret E. Bixler, 88, of Owasso, formerly of Enid, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Memorial Hill Cemetery, Waynoka. A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. today, July 29, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1925, to Raleigh R. and Margaret Peters Hesler in Avard, Okla., and passed away on July 27, 2014, in Owasso.

She grew up in the Waynoka, Avard area. She graduated from Waynoka High School in 1945. She married Hiram Eugene Bixler on Nov. 7, 1943. They made Enid their home in the early 1950s. Margaret was a wonderful and caring wife and mother. She was employed as a bookkeeper for S&Q Clothier, Coca-Cola, Midwestern Life and Durheim Appliance. She was a former member of Central Christian Church.

She is survived by four children, Judy and husband, David Durheim of Little Rock, Ark., Scott and wife, Kathy Bixler of Wichita, Kan., Cindy Ronck of Oklahoma City, and Joni and husband Tim Miller of Owasso; 10 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; one brother, John and Barbara Hesler of Beaver; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. E. Bixler.

Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be shared with the family online at Brown-Cummings.com.
