Freedom Cemetery


Woodward, Okla. — Rosie Jean "Jeannie" Kirkparick, 55 year old Freedom resident, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 in Enid. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 in the Freedom High School Auditorium with the Reverend Mark Kinkel officiating. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Rosie Jean (Winkleblack) Kirkpatrick was born June 15, 1955 in Bessemer, Alabama; she was the daughter of Walter Reese and Dorothy Louise (Noe) Winkleblack. As a young child, she lived in Alabama and Oklahoma in the Watonga and Fairview areas. Jeannie attended schools in Watonga and Fairview. On October 27, 1973, she was married to William Phillip "Phil" Kirkpatrick at the Assembly of God Church in Fairview. They made their first home in Okarche, living there one year before moving to Fairview. They had also lived in Cleo Springs for fourteen years before moving to Freedom.

Jeannie had attended the Baptist Church in Freedom, the Mooreland Baptist Church, the Cleo Springs Baptist Church and most recently, the Christian Church in Freedom. She loved sewing, antiques and especially loved her grandchildren. Her most enjoyment in life was her family.

Survivors include three sons, Steve and Andrea Kirkpatrick of Alva; Phillip and Chris Kirkpatrick of Temple, Texas; David and Pat Kirkpatrick of Freedom; two daughters, Jennifer and David West of Freedom; Jena and Adam Hampton of Weatherford; three brothers, Jim Winkleblack of Hitchcock; Ricky and Theresa Winkleblack of Bessmer, Alabama; Wayne Winkleblack of Watonga; six sisters, Ethel and Jerry Howard of Hitchcock; Barbra Glover of Bessmer, Alabama; Linda and Alan Laumnick of Watonga; Donna and Terry Rauh of Chester; Janet and Donnie Dorrell of Enid; Joan Hosapple of Watonga; seventeen grandchildren, McKenzie, Josh, Morgan Kirkpatrick; Miranda, Kara and Olivia; Cashlin, Payton, Maddison, Lilly Kirkpatrick; Ethan, Mason, Elizabeth, Wyatt West and Mercedes, Atom; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Winkleblack and Dorthy Dickinson.
