Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at College Hill Church of Christ with Hartsell Johnson and Kevin Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Family visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m at the Chapel. Margaret Leah, daughter of Ethel Effie (Holt) and John M. Lakely was born June 18, 1929, on a farm south of Carmen, Oklahoma. She passed away at the Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma on the 29th of August at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 11 days.

She attended the Alva Public Schools.

On May 1, 1954 she was married to Marvin Pshigoda in Enid. To their marriage a daughter Mardonna Gail was born.

They made their home in Alva, except from 1975-1980 they lived in Pratt, Kansas and later returned to Alva.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Pshigoda was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Beulah Zalewski and Bebe Nusser-Eslick; a brother, Johnny; and four brothers-in-law, Harlin Nusser, Harold Eslick, Edward Zalewski, Ben Ridgway and Stan Holt.

Margaret is survived by her husband Marvin of the home; daughter Mardonna and her husband Steve Brady; two grandchildren, Leah and Landon Brady; great-grandson Drake Brady, all of Alva; three sisters, Delphia Ridgway of Pasadena, Texas, Patty and her husband Dean Nusser of Alva, and Kathy Holt of Kiowa, Kansas; twin brothers and their wives, Doug and Janet Lakely of Guymon and Dennis and Jerilyn Lakely of Enid; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer’s.
