Alva Cemetery


The funeral for Patricia Ann “Pat” Kimery, 66, will be 2 p.m. today at Town and Country Christian Church, Alva. The Rev. Paul Cole will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

She was born May 10, 1939, on a farm near Dacoma to Charles W. and Rose G. Kassik Rolfe and died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Integris Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City.

She graduated from Dacoma High School in 1957 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University, receiving her bachelor of science degree in 1982, her master’s degree in behavioral science in 1983 and her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 1985.

She married Richard Wagner Jan. 24, 1959, in Dacoma. They lived in Capron where she worked for Woods County Health Department, then at Kiowa District Hospital.

She married George Kimery Nov. 15, 1983, in Canadian, Texas. They lived in Alva and later Woodward. In April 1986, they moved to Choctaw and in 1990 they moved to Midwest City. He died April 28, 2005. She worked for the past 18 years for the V.A. Medical Center as a certified registered nurse.

Surviving are one daughter, Sherri Matthesen of Choctaw; three sons, Mike of Austin, Texas, Tom of Capron and David of Midwest City; her mother, Rose Parker, and a brother, Robin Rolfe, both of Alva; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Town and Country Christian Church or Disabled Veterans Association.
