Mary Ann COLLIE

Alva Cemetery

Mary Ann Collie, 90, of Wichita, Kansas, died October 7, 2022. She was born on May 27, 1932, west of Alva, Oklahoma, to Kalman and Florence Paph.

In 1950, she married Arlo Eugene Collie, with whom she made a home in Alva, where they reared three children.

She is preceded in death by her husband Arlo, her parents, five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children Talea Marie Collie of Wichita, Arlin James Collie (Donna) of Wichita, and Reea Lynne Linck (Steve) of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as grandchildren Aundrea Christine Lamb and Aubrey James Collie (Jessica Zha) and one great-grandchild, Andrew James Lamb, along with her special sister-in-law, Mrs. Bonnie Paph, and many nieces and nephews.

Throughout her lifetime Mary Ann was dedicated to supporting her children in whatever endeavors they chose. That she loved them was clear. Fun was always a part of life with her. Because of Mary Ann, the Collie home was a gathering place for her children and grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Mary Ann had a life-long love of flower gardening and quilting.

Thank you, Mom, for your kindness to all, your dedication, and the many memories you have given to us and others.

According to her wishes, there will be no services. Her cremated remains will be interred beside her husband in Alva Municipal Cemetery.
