Marcy 24, 1893 - July 21, 1955

Earl Abbott, son of W. T. and Lavina Jane Abbott, was born in Neola, IA., on March 24,1893, and died suddenly on July 21, 1955.

He came with his parents to this community from Iowa when five years of age and settled on a farm seven miles west of Alva.

He was united in marriage to Jessie Beard on Nov. 22, 1914 , at Logan, Ia. Four children were born to this union.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lowell Pauline who died in infancy; his mother, Lavina Jane; a sister , Mrs. Effie Marcum and a brother, Ellsworth.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; one daughter, Mrs. Alta Marie Harger, Sun City, Kan., two sons, Lee Raymond, Maricopa, Ariz., and LeRoy Dean, Ruidoso, N.M.; one brother, Oscar, Pryor; one sister, Mrs. Ada Hook, Alva; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren plus many friends.
