Rae Jean O'Neal Walters, 96, of Amarillo, TX passed peacefully on July 9, 2017. She was born January 29, 1921 to Frank and Lizzie Greteman in Canute, Oklahoma.

She attended St. Francis School as did her siblings Frankie, Eddie, Louis, Ernest, Raymond and Vera. She married and is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Whitten O'Neal. They raised 3 children: Samuel (Jan) O'Neal, Carl (Frances) O'Neal and Diane (Ronnie) Johnson. She was a homemaker and later had a nursing career as a home healthcare giver.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Father Rex Nicholl.

Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.

Rae Jean was adored by 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. She also has many loyal nieces and nephews. In 1995 Rae Jean married Henry Walters and enjoyed many happy years in Elk City. Their blended family added Leo and Jody Walters and their families.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Henry Walters, 2 grandsons, Tim and Shawn O'Neal, daughter-in-law, Celia O'Neal, her mother, Lizzie Greteman, father, Frank Greteman, sister, Vera Davis, 5 brothers, Frankie, Eddie, Louis, Ernest and Raymond.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
