Prayer Vigil for Clementina Johnson was held on Thursday, January 2, 2003 in the Whinery-Savage Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at St. Mathew Catholic Church. Officiating the services were Deacon Paul Albert, Father Joseph Burger, and Jim Warnke. Casket Bearers were Chad Congdon, Grant Merz, Kim Jordan, Stacy Merz, Trever Congdon, and Troy Jordan. Honorary Casket Bearers were grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great granddaughter. Interment followed in the St. Francis Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
Clementina was born March 10, 1912 in Petersburg, Nebraska to Anna M. and Anton Spieker. She passed away on December 31, 2002 in her home in Canute, Oklahoma at the age of 80.
She moved with her parents to Canute at the age of 6. She graduated from Canute High School and attended Draughn's Business College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She moved back to Canute to help her parents on the farm and was married to Noble John Jordan at the St. Francis Church in Canute, Oklahoma on January 10, 1938. They lived southeast of Canute on a farm before moving into Canute in 1961 to make their home.
Clementina worked and managed the Hi De Hi Drive-In, and Bell's Cafe' before owning and operating Jordan's Recreation until her retirement. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and worked as a volunteer for Great Plains Regional Hospital. She was a care giver and was delivering Meals of Wheels at the age of 87.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda and Johnny Richardson of Canute, Oklahoma, Retha Congdon of Canute, Oklahoma; four sons, Leon and Glenda Jordan, Terry and Glenda Jordan, Jimmie and Carol Jordan, all of Canute, Oklahoma and Jackie and Deanna Jordan, of Foss Lake, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clementina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Noble in 1978, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
