Reba Jo Cross Solomon, age 68, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away October 16, 2020.

Born March 14, 1952, at the Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma, she was raised in Colony, Oklahoma, by Ruth Ahgoom Cross, Kiowa, and Thurman Cross, Cheyenne/Caddo, in the most happy and wonderful time of her life.  After attending Chilocco and Ft. Sill High Schools, Reba went on to study at the University of Oklahoma and University of Colorado.

She is survived by her husband of over 46 years, Glenn of Norman; three sons, Bear Christensen, Forest Wolf and Brant Elk Solomon; daughter-in-law, Shana Christensen; grandchildren, Edie, Mallory, Donica and James of Catoosa, Oklahoma; her wonderful sisters, Beverly Bryson and Regina Cage; and many nieces and nephews.

Reba was a member of the Satepauhoodle family in Carnagie and the ThunderBull and Cross family in Colony.  In 2019, she was the Honored America Indian Alumni of the University of Oklahoma.  Reba earned a B.A. in Social Work and a Masters of Human Relations degrees at OU.  She loved OU academics and football.  Reba is loved by many people who had the opportunity to know her.  The last two decades of her kidney transplant, she lifted the love and positive well-being of her loving family.  Her many hospital stays never dimmed her loving outlook of life.  She asked the Lord to help her through the pain and take her home, and she passed away with peace and dignity.  With tears our family misses and will always love Reba.

A private family service will be held in Colony, Oklahoma.
