Curtis Floyd Henley was born February 11, 1942 in Fitstown, Oklahoma to Lyda Mae (Lacey) Henley and James Dutch Henley. He passed away August 20, 2019 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 9 days.

Curtis grew up in Elk City where he attended school. He was married to Mary Elizabeth (Reiner) Henley on January 9, 1964 in Wellington, Texas. They made their home in Elk City eventually making their home west of town. Curtis was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. He also enjoyed watching football, writing poetry, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and 10 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his 2 children, Sheila Kensington, Caledonia, MI and Curtis Henley, Jr. and wife, Sherry, Elk City, OK; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, 2 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Friday, August 23, 2019, 3:00 PM at the Whinery Funeral Service Chapel.

Burial will be in the Canute Cemetery under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
