Charles Henry Thompson
October 20, 1949 - October 30, 2025

Charles Henry Thompson was born on October 20, 1949, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Edward Charles Thompson and Marion (Gunter) Wooten. He passed away in the late evening of October 30, 2025.

Charles loved his family and cherished story time, playing the bongos, dominoes and the harmonica. He had the gift of making everyone feel at ease, the kind of person who never saw a stranger, only potential friends. In his later years, as he renewed his faith in Christ, he was blessed to find a loving church family at Westside First Baptist.

He leaves behind a large and loving family, including:
Sons: Stacy Simon, Charles Thompson, Evan Harris, Sherman Phillips, and Jarrod Thompson Daughters: Minister Lori (Thompson) Henricy, Sharon (Thompson) Onwuagba, Marion Thompson, Yolanda Davis, Alene Thompson, Chauncey Young, Erica Ledman, Chastity Mcelrath, and Erma Ratliff Siblings: Dickie Thompson, Brenda Williams, Linda Thompson, and Charlotte Thompson

He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will love and miss their Pawpaw dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslyn Allen Thompson; daughter, Tempest Danielle Gunter; mother, Marion (Gunter) Wooten; and father, Edward Charles Thompson.
