BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK

Mrs. Gwendolyn Lucille Harris, 95, of Bartlesville, died on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2017 at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the White Rose Cemetery with Rev. Tom Cox officiating. Funeral services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home until 8 P.M. on Thursday.

Gwendolyn Lucille Harris was born on October 26, 1922 in Joplin, Missouri to John Henry Zilliox, Jr. and Flossie Leona (Passley) Zilliox. Gwen attended grade schools in the Cassville, MO. Area and graduated in 1941 from Wyandotte, OK High School. Gwen was married to Leon Ancil Harris on October 9, 1946 in Independence, Kansas. Gwen and Leon enjoyed many years of Square Dancing in Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas and other states. They also enjoyed camping in several states and loved their chow dogs. She worked at Public Service Company of Oklahoma and retired in 1983 after 21 years. She then worked at Sears for 4 years before taking a second retirement. Gwen was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors are a son Michael Leon Harris of Branson, Missouri, a grandson, Maddox Snider Harris of Fair Grove, Missouri. a nephew, Carroll Edward Zilliox of Hepler, Kansas and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon Ancil Harris on March 13, 1993. Also her brother, Carroll Duane Zilliox of Hepler, Kansas on January 7, 2012, also her parents, an uncle Ray W. Passley of Brookings, Oregon, and favorite aunt, Judge Chloe E. (Passley) Dilday of Bartlesville, OK, and grandparents, and Many uncles, aunts and cousins.
